About untangled
We run peer support groups that support families experiencing post or pre natal depression and anxiety. Our groups are free to attend, refreshments are supplied and children under the age of 5 are welcome. We use crafts as a means of therapy and our group structures are informal.
We run our groups across Cornwall, check out our Find Your Local Group page for your nearest group. Our groups are led by women who have lived experience of post and pre natal depression and anxiety, so we really do know what you are going through. The members of our groups are some of the loveliest people we have had the pleasure of getting to know, we really are like a little family and we have new members joining each week. The groups members range from pregnant women, families with young babies and those with older children up to the age of 5.
The crafts we teach range from pom pom making to children crafts and what we make we sell to raise funds for the groups. We are supported by the Perinatal Mental Health Team at Trelisk and have visits from their play workers once a month who provide valuable support to our families. We also provide a signposting service so if you are looking for extra support or need to talk to someone about a specific issue we can help you find that resource. If you are interested in joining our groups then you can just pop along or if you’d like to speak to us first you can telephone, text, email or contact via facebook. We understand because we’ve been there too.

Quotes from our members
I don’t know where i would be today without untangled, all of the lovely ladies there have helped me in more ways than they know and I’ve never been so proud to be a member of the untangled family.

When I came across Untangled I just thought it would be another group of ‘perfect’ mothers telling me about their perfect children but, its not. Its real mothers with real kids…. This group has given me so much confidence and welcomed me with open arms and I can not thank them enough
Rachel
I think this is the most non judgemental group I’ve ever been too. You can be yourself and support each other. Make new friends as well as bring old friends. Within myself I feel fantastic when I leave. I can talk freely. You have people that listen. It has really helped me!!
Jen
Untangled has made me realise that I am so much more than just my illness and has taught me that it’s OK not to be OK all of the time. On weeks where I can hardly manage to leave the house I always manage to make it to Untangled. It’s a safe space where I can be myself and parent my son without judgement.
Chloe
Having this support can literally save your life! It has for me, with you behind me I feel stronger.
